An eastern oriented site with meager soil. Like the soil at the Kirchensteig, it is a thin
layer that covers the rock. It is skeletal - rich, developed from crystalline granulite. Granulite is metamorphic – or converted - rock that is light, and sometimes looks violet - striped from the dark mica (biotite).
Manual Harvest in small boxes at the end of October, whole cluster pressing, very strong natural prefiltration and slow fermentation in steel tanks; extended period of maturation on the lees until August, bottled in August 2016
Fine peppery spice, yellow apple, fresh orange zest, mineralic, complex, juicy and harmonious fruits with an elegant complex acidity structure, long finish and an excellent aging potential
